TUMBLR POST | COMMISSION INFO


Depicting a planned scene for =Destiny-Smasher's story, 'Esteemed.' Lin is taking a break after a long, tiring afternoon of training, and Aunt Katara is checking in on her. On the one hand, Lin feels worn down by her mother's expectedly stern training, but on the other, she's growing into a strong bender at a young age.

That didn't stop a younger Toph from being hard on Aang when they were kids. I honestly think she'd be even more harsh in training her own child and have greater expectations from them quicker.

Katara looks a little white washed, so much so that I couldn't tell it was her x3

I'm pretty sure this is because these have been sketches with details added in, not full-colored pieces. A sketch of Katara would, most of the time, have a white background, for example, since she wasn't colored in.

BUT that is still a valid complaint! Thank you for actually presenting that criticism in an honest and polite way, and NOT being a JERK about like lots of people are. >_>;

Yea, if you look at most of this artist's work, at least for this project, skin tones aren't colored in, so they become the background color. Just seems to be that artist's style, but it's certainly worth commenting on.
And yes, people on Tumblr, in particular, overreact, and in turn can be very mean and hypocritical in so doing. ^_^; So thanks for NOT being that way!
